Lovato's Brazilian Jiu-jitsuLovato's has been in business for over 15 years, providing the residents of Oklahoma with world-class martial arts instruction. Created by Rafael Lovato Sr., the school began as an accredited Jeet Kune Do (JKD) school, focusing on Boxing, Thai Boxing, and Filipino Martial Arts, under former Bruce Lee student Richard Bustillo. This revolutionary martial art took the world by storm and Rafael Lovato Sr. began traveling across the country to train and learn this amazing art. After many years of studying, Rafael Lovato Sr. received his black belt in BJJ in 2003.
Being a lover and believer of the benefits of martial arts, Rafael Lovato Sr. introduced his son, Rafael Lovato Jr., to the martial arts at a very young age. Rafael Jr. followed in his father's footsteps learning JKD as a youth and BJJ as a teenager. Rafael Jr. earned his Black Belt in BJJ in 2004, shortly after his father. With an intense passion for competition, Rafael Jr. has distinguished himself as the most decorated American BJJ competitor today and he has made much history along the way. Following his father, Rafael Jr. is now the full-time owner and operator of Lovato's, as well as being a world class competitor, instructor, and coach.
