
Team Lovato has an amazing performance at the 2012 Houston International BJJ Open earlier this month, taking 2nd place in the overall team standings with only 28 competitors! This is incredible considering that there were many larger, local teams who participated, but Team Lovato showed once again that they can overcome all obstacles! The first place team had over 100 competitors compared to Team Lovato's 28! This marks the 3rd year in a row that Team Lovato was on the podium at the Houston International Open, but the other two times were 3rd place finishes, so we outdid our past performances! By the end of the tournament, Team Lovato, earned 26 medals, with medalist at all belt levels from White to Black. The Team energy was amazing and we really appreciate all of those you competed and those who came to support their training partners, you are all awesome! Also, we appreciate the instructors and coaches who were vital parts to our success and to Professor Rafael and Professor Rader for coaching the whole weekend! Here are the individual results:
