The 2012 World BJJ Championships start this Thursday at the Pyramid, in Long Beach, California, and Team Lovato has been hard at work training for the biggest event of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu season! In the video above, you can get an inside peak at just how hard the Lovato Jiu-Jitsu team trains to prepare for such an important event. The footage was filmed during a training session two weeks before the event, the video is only a few minutes long, but that training session lasted 4 hours! The Lovato Competition Team is led by Professor Rafael Lovato Jr., who will be looking to make history at this year's World Championships, by becoming the first non-Brazilian to win the BJJ World Championships twice as a Black Belt!
On top of the grueling training sessions on the mat, the team has also been hard at work with their strength & conditioning training at OK Strength with Coach Luke Tirey. Here you can see a sample of some the grip training they have been doing on the ropes. This was shot after a team hill sprint session.
You can watch Team Lovato and Professor Lovato Jr. compete live at Budovideos.com who will be broadcasting a live stream of the event. Go Team Lovato!
