Team Lovato had a small group of competitors take the journey to compete at the IBJJF Houston Open this past weekend & the results were nothing less than expected! Such an incredible showing from all our athletes, starting on Day 1 with Coach Dylan Nguyen who submitted all his opponents on the way to the Gold medal in the Adult Blue Rooster weight division! Day 2 saw more of the battlefield as LJJA purple belt, Jordan Simms secured the Gold medal in the Adult Purple Rooster weight division for his purple belt debut; Coach Tyler Elerick earning the Silver medal in the Master 1 Blue Medium Heavy division after a very dominating performance; & finally Jon Blackburn who earned the Silver medal in the Master 1 Blue Ultra Heavy division tearing through many tough battles! We at Lovato's School of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu & Mixed Martial Arts are so proud of all our competitors who represented for Lovato Jiu Jitsu & Ribeiro Jiu Jitsu!

A huge congratulations to these incredible warriors & we look forward to what this new year will bring to each one on their journey!
