Purple Belt

Warriors Instructor

Rob Wood has been a student at Lovato’s since 2006 and is currently a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Rob’s interest in grappling began at the age of 4 when he began wrestling, with an uncle and grandfather in the Wrestling Hall of Fame it was in his blood. Rob went on to become a two-time State Champion wrestler in Junior High. Rob possesses a vast quantity of grappling knowledge that he passes onto the Warriors Children’s Program with enthusiasm. Rob has also won many tournaments for the Lovato Competition Team; some of his most proud accomplishments are 2009 Blue Belt National weight and absolute champion, 2009 Grapplers Quest no-gi weight and absolute champion, and 2010 Houston Open purple belt absolute champion.
