Budokon Movement Arts

Lovato’s is proud to represent & offer the world famous Budokon Movement Arts to their students. During the classes students will learn basic stretching, mobility, & flow patterns inside of our Jiu-Jitsu curriculum. These movements will help the students build more body awareness & coordination to increase their ability to learn Jiu-Jitsu, decrease chance of injury, & have a healthier body. As the student progresses through the ranks they will eventually be able to build their own flows & keep a daily practice of movement & stretching to increase quality of life & training longevity.

Meditation

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) can be like a form of meditation for its students. There is no space left in your mind for anything else as you are focusing on your movements, strategy, & active problem solving while breathing & staying calm during intense exercise. This releases all the endorphins and resets your brain. Just like in meditation, they learn to be present in the moment, concentrating on what they’re doing. BJJ also teaches patience and resilience, as students have to keep trying and learning from their mistakes. So, for many people, practicing BJJ is not just about learning self-defense but also finding peace and balance in their lives.
